At last … A safety barrier for windows that conforms to the regulations and specified standards concerning child safety
(British Safety Standard BS 6180:1999 for children under 5 years of age) It is a requirement for a safety barrier of some sort to be provided in any window where the window sill is less than 800mm from the floor.
Features:
A custom made barrier specifically to protect children under the age of five from falling from windows. The barrier is fitted internally, across the front of a window or to the reveals, and is very simple to fit.
Adjustable fixing arms on each Corner for ease of installation
The barrier rests on brackets fitted into angled side fixing bars
Top corners are fitted with child resistant keyless camlocks. Both locks have to be released in order for the barrier to be removed. It is then lifted off the brackets.
The height of the barrier is 800mm. (the support bars to hold the barriers are approximately 880mm). The infill bars are vertical to prevent a child climbing them. The spacing between the bars is a maximum of 65mm to comply with that specified in BSEN 1930:2000
The barriers are suitable for windows with a minimum width of 200mm and a maximum width of 1600mm.
Complies with the recommended standard set by the Fire Safety Committee, the barrier is fitted with child resistant keyless locks so it can be quickly and easily removed in an emergency
The construction is of steel with a white powder coating finish.
Detailed fitting instructions are supplied – together with instructions on its removal

Measure the Overall width of your window reveal to reveal (as shown in image)
Select in product options below if you want to fit the barrier to the window reveals or the walls in front of the window - Please note if the window guard is to be fit outside the reveals, they will be made to fit 5cm clear from both sides.
