As with all playgrounds it is important to make sure your baby or toddler is safe and although your garden may seem a harmless place there could be hazards around every corner.
There are two options when it comes to garden safety and they largely relate to the age of the children. Firstly if your child is crawling or only just found their feed you might want to look at child safety products that limit the parts of the garden they have access too. For example play pens are child safety products that allow your little one to enjoy the garden, be with you and be safe at the same time. You can even get a play tent to go on top of the playpen to shade them from the sun.
If your child is more mobile other child safety products might be more appropriate for example corner shields for walls. Some other great child safety products are stair protectors and water sensors which both allow your child to roam further and remain protected.
In terms of general garden safety, check that all of the plants in your garden are child friendly and not prickly like roses or holly. Ensure that any small gaps that your little one might be tempted to get out of are blocked and above all else be responsible. You can take a look at the full range of garden safety products available in our garden safety section or contact a child safety product expert for more information.
