In the last article we looked at some essential items you should have when travelling with a baby/toddler. Here, we give our guide to some of the products that make travelling in a car, whether toward your holiday destination or just on a short trip, that bit easier. From car safety to changing equipment, there’s a wide range of products to keep your tot comfortable and secure.Baby safety products for the car
You can make a car journey more comfortable for your tot with a few practical car products. Car seats are a necessity for any baby in a car but including a body support gives your infant further comfort and protection. These innovative designs ensure correct posture is maintained giving proper support to the head, neck and shoulders by raising your baby’s bottom. The reversible lining has a warm fleece on one side for the winter months and a cool polycotton lining for the summer.
As adults we have the muscle strength and movement to physically soak up a bumpy ride or brace for sudden braking or acceleration. Babies on the other hand have not developed physically to handle this kind of motion but a neck support can help absorb and protect their delicate neck and head and ensure they are kept in a secure position while being driven in the car.

Clippasafe Baby Neck SupporterThe spring and summer brings some much needed sunshine but the sun’s glaring rays in the car can make a journey hot and uncomfortable for your baby. An easy to fit sun shade mesh on the passenger windows will help to block the sun and glare without blocking your visibility. Designed and sized to fit all cars, a sun-stop holds its shape remaining wrinkle free and giving your baby some essential sun protection.
Baby will need a drink and feeding bottle when travelling in the car but how can you keep a bottle insulated for both hot and cold drinks? A neoprene cover can stretch over the top of any feeding bottle or trainer cup to provide cold or warm insulation to the contents for up to three hours. A clear window allows the level of the drink to be monitored making the bottle cover an ideal item for travelling.
How can you warm a bottle for your baby when in the car? Simple. A travel bottle warmer has a heating element that plugs into a car lighter to warm a feed. Capable of warming a bottle in 10 minutes, the bottle warmer has a safety cut-off device to prevent overheating the contents and is designed to fit into a vehicle’s cup holder. The stretch neoprene cover insulates the bottle helping to keep the contents warm.

A buggy bag is a heavy duty waterproof fabric tote for carrying umbrella style buggies. With long straps making it easy to carry on your shoulder when your buggy is not in use, the buggy bag keeps your baby’s buggy secure and dry when on the move.
While travelling to your destination they’ll be times when you want to get out and stretch your legs. If baby’s happily asleep in their car seat, or the car seat is part of a pushchair combination, you’ll want to get your tot out of the car without disturbing them. However, in the hot months you’ll be mindful to protect your little one from insect bites so this simple to fit netting product can prove invaluable.
